Love me love my quirks - be yourself to love yourself! - Barbara Ford-Hammond

Do you know anyone who oozes confidence? Is that person you?
Do you know anyone who everyone seems to love? Is that you?
Do you know anyone who has self-esteem so high you fear vertigo? Is that you?

Is it nearly you? Do you start off with a plan to change, improve or alter something about yourself only to stumble, forget or allow those little self-doubts to sneak back?

Have you ever wished you were someone else?

What do those perfect princesses, with their ‘certain little somethings’ going on and who are in that elusive positive club, have?

Shall I tell you?

They have nothing that you haven’t got. They are happy in themselves regardless of whether they have saggy, wobbly, bony, or just generally bits that seem to go in a different direction to other bits. They aren’t bothered if they eat their pudding before the main course - like my daughter always has since she was about two,: much to the dismay of school dinner ladies, and restauranteurs.

They laugh a lot and can giggle about any faults they might have because to them they aren’t faults they are just aspects of themselves. If you asked them about bad habits or irritations they would look at you blankly as these terms are not in their vocabulary.

They also tend to find something positive in every situation and have an affable disposition towards everyone. People are attracted to them because they have such a positive outlook that spending time in their company somehow allows that positivity to spread and multiply.

Would you like to join the club?

Come close while I whisper a secret, “You are already a fully paid up totally eligible member! It’s just that you’ve either forgotten, nobody has told you or when they did tell you, maybe you weren’t listening. Or, perhaps the worst case scenario is that despite knowing deep down that you are, in the words of Mary Poppins, ‘practically perfect in every
way’... you don’t believe it!”

There. Now you know. All you need to do it believe it ...

Are you reading this while huffing to yourself and saying, ‘yeah right, as if’?

From today your membership to the positive club is reactivated. All you need to do is:
Create your mantra:choose something like “I am perfect as I am and ... superb, sexy, happy, gorgeous, successful, loving” (use your own words or phrases)

Learn the seven top tips to enjoy complete contentment:

1. Remember or remind yourself of your mantra - I am perfect as I am
2. Praise yourself for everything you do
3. If there is something about yourself that you haven’t been happy
with, laugh and refer to tip one.
4. Treat yourself - often
5. Celebrate something every day
6. If a niggle or doubt sneaks in, laugh and refer to tip one
7. Refer to tip one!
